Event Tracker

Track user actions, system events, and application logs.

Overview

Event Tracker gives you a live window into VerifyWise. It records every user action and system event, then lets you dive into the raw logs for deeper troubleshooting. Use it to see who did what, spot patterns, and keep your application running smoothly.

Whether you need to audit recent activity or debug an issue, Event Tracker provides the visibility you need to understand what is happening in your governance platform.

Accessing Event Tracker

Navigate to Event Tracker from the main sidebar. The page is organized into two tabs: Events and Logs.

Events tab

The Events tab displays a table of user actions and system events. Each row shows:

  • Event type: The category of action that occurred
  • User: Who performed the action
  • Timestamp: When the event happened
  • Details: Additional context about the event

The table is paginated, so you can browse through your event history without performance issues.

Logs tab

The Logs tab provides access to raw application logs. This is useful for technical troubleshooting when you need to see exactly what happened at the system level.

  • Line numbers: Each log entry is numbered for easy reference
  • Recent first: Logs are sorted with the most recent entries at the top
  • Refresh: Click the refresh button to fetch the latest logs
Use the Logs tab when investigating issues or verifying that system processes completed successfully.

Common use cases

  • Audit trail: Review who made changes and when for compliance purposes
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate unexpected behavior by examining system logs
  • Activity monitoring: Keep track of team activity across your governance program
  • Verification: Confirm that automated processes ran correctly
