Your uploads train the models

The terms list creating, testing, improving and training the AI models used by Kling AI among the purposes for which uploaded content and inputs may be processed. Users who want this to stop must email support to revoke the authorisation; there is no setting or toggle, and a separate clause asks users not to claim rights over the company's use or development of that content.

A broad licence over inputs and outputs

Kling AI takes a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transfer, publicly display, reproduce, create derivative works from and distribute both the input provided and the output generated, in any media format and through any media channel. A further clause allows licensing that content to third parties for promotion and product research.

Opt-out signals are ignored

The policy states that Kling AI does not monitor, recognise or honour any opt-out or Do Not Track mechanism, including browser Do Not Track settings. The commitment not to sell personal data appears only in the California-specific section, not in the version that applies to most users.

No retention period and thin security detail

Data is kept "for as long as necessary" with no number attached, and the company reserves the right to delete data without notice. Security is described as "using encryption techniques" without naming a protocol or standard, and the unconditional data protection officer contact appears only in the Brazil and Singapore sections.
